No Man’s Sky Voyagers Update: Build, Customize, and Explore in Style
No Man’s Sky continues to grow and surprise its community. The latest Voyagers update has landed, and it’s one of the game’s biggest yet – introducing colossal, fully customizable ships that players can make their own while exploring the universe.
Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray described the new ships in the official announcement:
“We call them Corvettes, huge ships with hulls, wings, landing gear, cockpits, engine parts, thrusters and more – arranged to your own unique sci-fi design.”
These Corvette-class vessels feature authentic interiors, complete with sleeping quarters, med bays, and other fully customizable areas, turning them into more than just ships: they’re living, traveling bases in space.
How to Unlock Your Corvette
Corvettes become available “a little way into the game,” making them accessible to seasoned explorers who’ve already invested time in the galaxy.
For newcomers, Hello Games has introduced a Corvette expedition, crafted to get players into the ship-building workshop quickly. This journey not only unlocks essential ship parts but also gives players a taste of the freedom these massive starships bring.
More Than Just New Ships
The 6.0 patch isn’t only about Corvettes. It also delivers:
- A range of bug fixes and optimizations
- Quality-of-life improvements
- The new Skyborn Exosuit and Skyborn Jetpack cosmetics
- A fresh wave of Twitch drops
Players eager to see the full breakdown can find the detailed patch notes on the official No Man’s Sky website.
Shared Tech with Hello Games’ Next Project
Interestingly, Murray revealed that much of the technology powering Voyagers also supports the studio’s next ambitious title, Light No Fire.
The game, first revealed at The Game Awards 2023, promises a shared, Earth-sized fantasy world for players to explore. According to Murray:
“It’ll have real oceans to traverse, needing large boats and crews. We love that we get to share this technology with players early.”
While Light No Fire doesn’t have a release date yet, fans can already experience a glimpse of its systems inside No Man’s Sky’s Voyagers update.
