Ubisoft has dropped a brand-new update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and while it includes the usual round of fixes and adjustments, it also packs in some exciting new features for hardcore fans.
New Game Plus Arrives
One of the standout additions in this patch is the introduction of New Game Plus, a much-requested feature that lets you replay the game with all your previously acquired skills, gear, allies, and hideout progress intact.
To access it, players need to complete the stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Once done, New Game Plus can be launched directly from the Animus’ memory menu.
Conquer New Game Plus, and you’ll unlock two powerful new weapons:
- Whisper Gold – A legendary long katana with a unique perk engraving
- Dragon’s Gold – A regular katana, also engraved with exclusive perks
Even better, New Game Plus isn’t a one-time event, you can replay it up to eight times, with each cycle ramping up the difficulty, enemy strength, and overall challenge.
Level Cap Raised to 80
Another major update: the level cap has been bumped from 60 to 80. That means tougher opponents with smarter tactics and heightened awareness await you.
To complement this, the Knowledge Rank system now maxes out at Rank 10, allowing players to develop an even broader arsenal of skills, passive abilities, and advanced combat techniques.
If you’re chasing achievements, the update also introduces new trophies, including:
- Reach Level 80
- Achieve Knowledge Rank 10
- Obtain the new katanas from New Game Plus
Gameplay Tweaks and Fixes
The update also includes a variety of balance adjustments and bug fixes:
- Crafting materials now require slightly more resources for upgrades
- Allies scale better, gaining more health and damage as your level increases
- A bug where damage reduction perks didn’t apply to certain enemy projectiles has been resolved
- Fixed an issue where damage assassinations gave less adrenaline than standard ones
For the full breakdown, Ubisoft has shared a detailed patch list in their official blog post.
