In comic lore, Ultron sprang from the mind of Hank Pym; in Marvel Rivals, he lands in the Strategist class, commanding a personal swarm of obedient drones. Expect calculated chaos: his toolkit emphasizes positioning, drone synergy, and oppressive area control—teased in an explosive reveal trailer that sets the tone for the season.

Arakko, Reforged by X-Tron

Season 2.5 also debuts Arakko, the mutant-made Mars colony introduced during the House of X era. Unfortunately for its residents, Ultron has hijacked Cerebro, reborn as “X-Tron,” and twisted the red planet into a cold, metallic wasteland. Heroes must rally to restore Arakko before the last trace of mutant life is scrubbed out.

Team-Up Abilities Get a Shake-Up

NetEase isn’t just adding content—it’s reshaping it. Four legacy team-up abilities are being retired, while six fresh combos enter the rotation. Fan-favorite Jeff the Land Shark even earns a goofy-but-deadly “Jeff-nado” partnership move. Players can further show off with new proficiency avatars, moods, and emoji options on the hero-select wheel.

Ultron’s Battle Matrix Experimental Mode (June 6)

Starting June 6, the limited-time Ultron’s Battle Matrix lets players draft custom hero line-ups and stack wild ability upgrades before brawling it out. NetEase says the mode is an experiment in handing fans deeper control over builds and synergies—so expect unpredictable, highlight-reel clashes.
