The brand new expansion won’t release until early next year, ArenaNet will allow players to start testing some of the new features, mainly the new character elite specializations. The first beta test will launch on August 17th and running until August 21st.
The test is available for anyone, including free-to-play accounts, so you don’t have to pre-purchase the expansion, but your gameplay progress will not be saved!
When you log in on August 17, you’ll find three elite specialization beta character slots on your character screen. Use these to create fully equipped level 80 beta characters, and have fun testing these brand new elite specializations! The new elite specializations are the Necromancer’s Harbinger, the Mesmer’s Virtuoso, and the Guardian’s Willbender.
Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG with lots of open-world PVE and PVP content, huge selection of classes and specializations, and much more! The base game is free-to-play, expansions with extra content need to be purchased, but only once.
End of Dragons expansion’s full release is planned to launch in February 2022.
