SUPER 56 Demo Available Now On Steam

Today, Indie developer Onion Soup Interactive is excited to announce that the demo of SUPER 56 will be available to download and play today ahead of the Early Access release on 20th February 2023. Players will take on 56 retro-fuelled mini-games, complete daily challenges, and destroy hi-scores while traveling through different gaming genres.

The demo will feature 10 stages from the main game, each very different from the next, to give a true taste of the eclectic gaming compilation which is SUPER 56. Level progression is capped, but you’ll still feel the warm and fuzzy feeling in your gut, as you rank up and get introduced to (in fun cutscene style) the rivalry between BRONES, KRONOS, and their annoying neighbor, JOHN ZOMBIE. Things will get SUPER NASTY! The demo will also introduce players to MOD STONES, which add different conditions to gameplay. The early access version of SUPER 56 will feature more MOD STONES with different debuffs/stats changes, such as extra lives, combo multiplier, or game speed. A career screen tracks players’ high scores, medals, and achievement progress for each stage and the leaderboard shows how well the player has done compared to the whole world or their Steam friends.

Coins are littered throughout the stages which can be used to purchase customization items, hints on unlocking obscure achievements, and retro-styled “instruction manual style pages” for each stage. XP progression adds a further dynamic to the game which comes with its own set of unlockable rewards.

SUPER 56 is button mashing its way to Steam Early Access on 20th Feb 2023, and players can wishlist it now, or try out the newly released demo, via Steam.
