As announced during the latest seasonal earnings conference, NetEase CEO William Ding revealed that Naraka: Bladepoint has now reached 40 million unique players across all platforms. This is thanks to constant updates, like the most recent hero Hadi Ismail and the Fan weapon, as well as an active esports scene gathering at the World Championship for a shot at 1.5 million USD next month. The melee-focused battle royale continues to deliver a wide selection of content to fans who have seen their game grow to a new record level of players.
One key to the game’s success is the close relationship to its community, which has kept the mythical competition going for 10 Seasons. Recently, one-handed gamer JesseLHV on YouTube teamed with Naraka development and the engineering team at Hacksmith Industries to create a prosthetic arm inspired by the one that hero Hadi wears in-game.
