The Chinese language version is already live and receiving fantastic fanfare and praise – securing a ‘very good’ rating on Steam. Titan Revenge is a beautiful hack-and-slash title coming to English-speaking audiences this December, its developers are expecting a storm that would impress even Thor.
Game Hollywood has a track record of international success with similar titles, such as League of Angels – Heaven’s Fury. Titan Revenge has similar 3D gameplay, but it has plenty of features that will set it apart from anything else on the browser game market. Namely, its rich Nordic setting, marvellous graphics, deeply researched celestial narrative, and high-octane non-stop combat. May the battle of gods and giants commence!
Titan Revenge – The Setting
Those who know their Norse mythology understand that Odin is not the most powerful being ever to have existed. That honour goes to Ymir, the forefather of all Jötnar, and the first sentient being. After his demise, a war like no other unfolds between giants and gods. In these times of chaos and strife, Odin hatches a devious plan to create and control humankind, granting them an edge against their age-old enemies, the giants – also known as the Titans.
As Odin All-Father relishes in his own cunning, he receives a disturbing prophecy – one that almost sends him mad. Not only will the giants fall, but all life – gods included. Once Odin has seen visions of Ragnarök, nothing will ever be the same again.
Titan Revenge – The Story
Titan Revenge takes place in the aftermath of these catastrophic events, with prophecy and bloodshed still rampant. As Odin fortifies humanity’s belief in the gods, he seeks to turn his human allies and the giants against one another. Hela, queen of the underworld’s giants, has other ideas. Her colossal figure casts a shadow over cities and hope alike. That is until – much to Odin’s delight – she disappears without a trace. At first, her disappearance is considered a blessing for the gods. That is, until all of their plans begin to unravel.
Players take the role of a giant-god hybrid, the kingdom’s greatest general, and the daughter of Odin. It is her role to unite the great powers and safeguard the future of humanity and gods alike – sometimes even against the wishes of her all-powerful father. Players must deal with threats from all lineages in a battle that will determine the fate of everything.
Titan Revenge – Gameplay Features
Further gameplay details will be announced closer to release, but players can expect a 3D hack-and-slash browser MMORPG with more might than Thor and more beauty than Freyja.
It combines casual gameplay with relentless hack and slash combat. Expect to team up and fight formidable world bosses the size of mountains (they don’t call them giants for nothing).
There is near-endless loot and customisation, allowing players to shape beloved and bespoke characters fit for different combat styles. Finding and equipping the right gear is half the battle. Fortunately, ethereal fortresses and ancient dungeons are rich with loot.
The beautiful visuals and animations are expertly rendered but also keep a casual, colourful aesthetic, especially during the opportunities for downtime provided in the title’s many social activities. Providing such heavenly graphics on a browser game is a feat the developers are deeply proud of.
In an era where gods are cut down like blades of grass, players will need cunning as well as strength. Which factions will you support? Which allies will you rally to the cause? Will you sympathise with giant, human, or god? Every choice you make will be impactful. The fate of the Nine Realms is in your hands.
More details will be released closer to launch. Titan Revenge will be playable on Game Hollywood via GameHollywood.com.
