Halloween is finally here, and the Game Master has some tricks and treats up his sleeves to get into the holiday spirit. Starting today, a frightening candy-collecting event awaits at a macabre makeover of Millhaven Asylum. Players have until Mon., Nov. 6, to collect candy and unlock limited-edition costumes.
Innocents and Terrors alike can complete tasks to earn candy and redeem for themed cosmetics in the Emporium. The new skins include:
- Awaken Terror skin – the first Terror skin for Deceit 2
- Masquerade skins from the original Deceit – the skins are free to players who earned them in Deceit
- New costumed skins for the characters introduced in Deceit 2
- Soul Buster Priya
- Cultist Jak
- Friday 13th Beck
The spine-chilling update also adds the Warden role, which allows the selected Human to banish any player. Beware, the new role comes with a wicked twist: if a fellow Human is banished, then the Warden will be eliminated, too.
“While our Halloween event might look sweet on the outside, the Game Master never shies away from the true intent of his Ritual of Deceit,” said James Thompson, CEO, World Makers. “While our launch was not what we originally envisioned, we’re focused on providing quality-of-life improvements and addressing feedback to provide the best gameplay experience for our community. Players will start to see these changes in our first post-launch event, which pays tribute to All Hallows Eve and the terrors that lurk in the shadows.”
Deceit 2 is available now on Steam, with PlayStation and Xbox versions coming in late Fall 2023. Players can sign up for the official Deceit 2 mailing list at www.deceit.gg to stay in the loop for future game updates, including the upcoming DLC featuring the Wyrtorn terror.
