Flyff Universe is an MMORPG developed by Gala Lab and released in 2022. It is the spiritual successor of their first game iconic game Flyff (Fly for Fun). Let's see what the remake looks like in 2022!
What is FlyFF Universe?
Flyff Universe is a reimagined browser-based MMORPG by Gala Lab and Sniegu Technologies, and it is available for PC, MAC, and any mobile device. The game looks like a classic Korean MMORPG – they designed the world with a colorful, anime-cartoonish style, with many different types of environmental elements like magical forests, wild oceans, and sweaty deserts. FlyFF Universe offers a vast open-world with multiple areas and continents to explore. The environment is rich in colors and shapes, there are random weather and light appearances in the game.
The player characters and NPCs are cute anime-style characters as they should be, and the mobs are ranging from the cute to badass style.
Gameplay of FlyFF Universe
The gameplay is more or less than a normal MMORPG. You have to get used to the control through your browser and I have to say it’s not a very easy thing to do.
Surprisingly, FlyFF Universe has a quite advanced browser gameplay, it’s not like what we are used to: You can rotate, move with WASD (and by left mouse click as well) and zoom in/out the camera in order to get a full 3D experience.
At first if you feel uncomfortable, try using your mouse for movement, it will be much easier, then soon you will get used to the keyboard & mouse combo.
The basic progress is nothing new, it’s the same linear gameplay we all loved back then: Talk to an NPC, get the quest, complete quest, and repeat. This way you won’t get lost, the game always tells you what to do, and where.
You get a character class to choose from at level 15 – there are four basic classes at level 15 which are classic RPG jobs and later you can choose from 8 subclasses at lvl60. There are unique occupations like the jester, the psykeeper, and the ringmaster.
One of the main, and most exciting feature of FlyFF is the actual flying – you can sit on a broom or a hoverbike and fly around the cities and areas.
Social possibilities are diverse. You can join parties to get increased XP and loot, you can be assisted by a player to level up at a higher rate and even marry two characters together. The player base is huge – cities and areas are full of players, so it’s not hard to find someone to party up with. FlyFF offers many PVE & PVP activies as well – solo exploring, group dungeons, duels, and multiple PVP modes.
FlyFF Universe has a lot of potential and it is in a web browser – it’s such a relief to play a game like this without making 80-100 GB free space on your hard drive just to install a huge game client. You just need to open up your favorite browser, register, login, and there you go, you’ll get a full nostalgic MMORPG experience. FlyFF Universe is a good start for MMORPG newbies, and also a great nostalgic game for veterans.
