Lost Ark is a brand new action MMORPG, which was released just a few days ago, but its popularity is already mind-blowing. This isometric action MMO grants you dynamic action combat, with an interesting storyline, set in an aesthetic fantasy world.
The real fun starts at level 50
Lost Ark is an endgame-oriented MMORPG, so most of the genre-specific content is denied to you until the endgame. Only from level 50 do you get access to dungeons, daily and weekly quests, and other endgame content.
So think of your leveling experience more as a solo adventure to get to know the game and your character, as well as to experience the amazing story of the game.
Three different levels in Lost Ark
There are three levels in Lost Ark: Combat Level, Gear Score, and your account Roster. Your Combat Level is the level of your main character, the Gear Score is the total value of your items, and the account Roster is a summary of all your characters on that account.
Play and try multiple characters
Once you find yourself in the endgame, there are all kinds of daily and weekly quests, dungeons, and other activities that give you valuable goods and resources. To get even more rewards, it’s worth playing multiple characters – if you have time for them of course.
Which class to choose in Lost Ark?
There are 5 major classes in Lost Ark, with multiple advanced classes coming from them.
Warriors are the classic tankier melee DPS classes, Gunners are the ranged heavy-damage dealers, Martial Artists are melee fighters with high mobility, Mages can be either good damage dealers or main supports, and Assassins are the fast-paced, heavy damage classes with blades.
Which ones are the strongest and the weakest ones? All the classes are useful in Lost Ark, and everything is up to your playstyle. Try multiple characters and choose the main character based on your own experience.
Try your skills
For a small fee, you can reset and redistribute your skill points at any time. Use this option to find your preferred playstyle.
Depending on whether you are completing quests or fighting your way through dungeons, you can create two different skillsets to be more effective.
More gameplay tips for beginners
- The quickest way to hit lvl 50 is to follow the main questline. Of course, you can do all the sidequests and secret dungeons, but if you are leveling an alt character, just skip everything except the storyline. With this method, you can reach level 50 in just 20 hours.
- You can solo the majority of leveling content in Lost Ark – with any class.
- Mounts are available in Lost Ark, but they can’t be used in all zones, like Dungeons.
- You can complete dungeons solo, or with friends.
- PVP unlocks at lvl 26 at Luterra Castle, and there are 3 game modes for PVP – all gear is equalized during the battle.
