Avalanche Software’s upcoming wizard RPG, Hogwarts Legacy is officially verified on the Steam Deck. Given its February 10th release, the news came just in time.
Avalanche Software Community Manager Chandler Wood tweeted a screenshot, that Hogwarts Legacy is verified for the Deck, meaning that the default controls and graphical settings will be running OK on Valve’s handheld powerhouse. (It may need some tweaking, in my opinion.) The developers pushed back the last-gen release of the title, to concentrate more on the current-gen version, what an excellent way to allow the game to give its best for those who have the capacity. Also, there will be no cross-save function between platforms, so PS5 and Xbox Series S|X players can’t swap saved games from console to PC. But, What Does This Mean?
It means Hogwarts Legacy will be hella’ optimized. There are plenty of gameplay videos out now, seemingly the embargos are not that strict. Avalanche Software is proud of this game. They aren’t afraid to show it before the release, because they are confident in the performance of their product.
This could entice users to purchase the game on Steam, so they can play on their desktop setup, or grab the Deck and discover the fantasy world by J.K. Rowling on the go. Hogwarts Legacy will release on February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
