Twitch users, change your passwords!
Twitch has confirmed the data leak took place this morning - a huge chunk of data was posted to 4chan.
“We can confirm a break has taken place. Our teams are working with urgency to understand the extent of this. We will update the community as soon as additional information is available. Thank you for bearing with us.”
A 125 GB leaked torrent of Twitch data as posted to 4chan boards, with all the potential sensitive informations of users. The data files include creator payouts from 2019, mobile/desktop/console Twitch clients, and even the entire source code of Twitch.
Twitch recently had issues with hate raids and fake followers, but now this leak incident is a critical issue, and the uploader stated: “More leaks will be coming”.
So stay safe, change your Twitch account password and set up a two-factor authorization.
