Hell of an Office is a first-person action-packed platforming game, where you play as an office worker, literally in hell. You need to speedrun through insane vertical levels, on your mission to escape the corporate underworld.
When you start Hell of an Office, you spawn in a suspicious elevator that takes you to the -666th level and Mr. Stapley explains your situation – you just started your first day of work at the biggest and best corporation on Earth! After some short explanation, the journey in hell begins. Speedrun and complete 100 insane levels across 10 unique worlds, earn high scores, and compete with your friends through the online leaderboard.
Welcome to Hell!
The controls of Hell of an Office are simple: You can move forward with W, dash with space, or use rocket jump, but once you fell down into the flames of hell, the game is over, and you have to start over the level. As you progress through the levels, your job gets harder, and sometimes you have to test your skills countless times, in order to proceed to the next level. At the end of each hellish run, you get a bronze, silver, gold or diamond medal depending on how fast you performed. Players can also collect unique stapler skins (for cosmetic purposes for now) by completing achievements.
The animation is gorgeously smooth, the colors are very vivid, everything is surrounded with flames and lava, but if you have some time to look around (you won’t), you can see how detailed the environment is. The elements and obstacles are inspired by actual office supplies – staples, notebooks, computers, rulers, and sometimes you can catch some signs with funny phrases like “Everyday, working, twenty four heaven”. The game’s soundtrack is also notable, featuring a mix of heavy metal and electronic music.

Hell of an Office is very easy to pick up and play but difficult to master. It can take you some time to get used to the speed but once you are comfortable with the gameplay, it’s hard to stop.
Hell of an Office is still an early access title, but the game is being developed and updated continuously, and 43 Studios are open for player-feedbacks as well. The game has received lots of positive reviews for its creative gameplay, unique setting and humor, so if you are looking for a huge adrenaline rush and would like to put your reflexes to a test, it’s time for you to try Hell of an Office!
