About Goat Simulator
Goat Simulator was released in 2014, and it’s an open-world TPS, where you can control a goofy goat. The game has not much to offer and its decency is questionable, but it is a unique one in the simulation category.
When you start up the game, you will see a good view of the game’s environment and options – the user interface is simple and straightforward. When you control your goaty in the game world, he can do a lot of weird things, and on the top of that, you can get various mods for Goat Simulator. Get yourself a jetpack to fly above the ground, a tricky labyrinth, or a demonic evil version of your goat with more special abilities.
The graphics are quite decent, you can feel the city is almost like your own neighborhood, but the physics are absurdly weird. You can get an unrealistic result if you destroy something with your horns. Most of the environment can be destroyed easily. When you bump into them they fly in randomized directions. People are like elastic figures in this game and they glitch a lot. The city has everything to have fun with, you can also find some trampolines and slides, and even more stuff with mods. As you roam the playground, cars are passing by, you hear birds chirping and humans are walking or just partying in the garden, like everything is absolutely fine with this world, but it’s not. You are still just a goat.
The gameplay is non-existent. You just destroy everything in sight and you get points, or complete some tasks for points. You can lick with your goat tongue, play dead, jump, or just casually “maa”. You can also beat up people and objects with your horns, using the left mouse button.
More contents of the game be unlocked if you find golden statues hidden in the game environment.
So, is it worth getting Goat Simulator in 2022?
Goat Simulator never gets old, although its hype is long gone. I recommend this game because it is unique and really funny, it’s not expensive, and you can even play with up to 4 players in split-screen. But don’t take it too seriously, it’s more like a meme. What can we say about a game which was inspired by rollerskating games and ended up like this?! Goat Simulator is available on PC and consoles, the Nintendo Switch version is the youngest port.
